Venus Williams' U.S. Open Green Tee
Too bad this shirt doesn't come with a hood and a ski mask because that face is a NO NO! The talented tennis player and designer who launched her own clothing line, EleVen in 2007 teammed up with The U.S. Open by designing official merchandise in the form of an eco-friendly tee. A portion of the profits will benefit Unisphere Inc.,a non-proft organization that maintains Flushing Meadows Corona Park where the U.S. Open tournament takes place.
The tees will retail for $36 and will be available at the U.S. Open on usopen.org.
Venus definitely doesn't look her best in this shot, but you can't blame the girl; she just got done playing tennis. Venus and Serena have been a tremendous inspiration to me and convinced me to pick up a racket my self. Show these strong African American women some support!
